"I feel very happy with my Outreach workers, they are excellent and polite."

We believe that every person should have the chance to be part of the community they live in. And that our Outreach service can play a big part in making this a reality.

Outreach was set up in 2001, and became so successful that it's now grown to operate in Redbridge, Waltham Forest, Newham and Essex. Entirely focused on the needs and wishes of the individual, Outreach promotes independence, choice and ultimately a person-centred approach.

How Outreach can help

Outreach provides practical and emotional support to help people live as ordinary a life as possible. As each person is unique, Outreach is a flexible service that's tailored to you, and offers support with:

  • Daily living skills
  • Benefits
  • Budgeting
  • College applications
  • Job applications and supported employment
  • Plus lots more activities that maximise independence and further leisure and relationship opportunities

As well as activities such as:

  • Personal shopping
  • Music sessions
  • Sensory and art
  • Social outings such as bowling/cinema
  • Visiting places of worship
  • Going out for lunch or to cafes
  • Trips to the park, theatre and other events

Who can benefit

Outreach supports people with a wide range of needs to become part of the community they live in. People could be living in their own homes, or with supported living, residential or nursing care, and could have:

  • A learning disability
  • A mental health need
  • Autism or challenging behaviour
  • Sensory deprivation
  • Epilepsy

Funding sources range from Primary Care Trusts and local authorities, to individual budgets, direct payments and those who pay for their own services.

Our Outreach team

Our team are as culturally diverse as the people and communities we serve. They're managed by Vibrance and receive regular support, supervision and appraisals in order to maintain our high quality service.

We also provide comprehensive training, complementing their knowledge, skills and experience of supporting people with challenging behaviour, autism, sensory deprivation and epilepsy.

Managed from our Head Offices in Ilford, we're registered with the Care Quality Commission as a registered domiciliary care agency. We're also working towards accreditation with the National Autistic Society. And on a practical level, we book sessions just one week in advance to give you flexibility, and work 7am to 11pm, seven days a week.
