Vibrance club nights get regional radio recognition

Our ‘inclusive club nights’ for people with disabilities have been a bit of a talking point since the first one in October 2014.

Following on from another successful event at Eclipse nightclub, we have now received BBC radio coverage.

Vibrance Chief Executive, Paul Allen, and Vibrance Fundraising Manager, Shani Reid, spoke to BBC Radio Essex’s breakfast show about how the pioneering club nights are giving disabled people the opportunity to make friends and have ordinary social lives.

The interview came on the back of recent research by Sense, that one in six of disabled people surveyed in the East of England said they felt lonely on a typical day.

Listen here to Paul and Shani explain how Vibrance is helping to buck the trend: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/p02kqlmt

(Listen from 1:41:51 – 1:48:46 - This link will be available until 7th April 2015.)
