Jeanne Lill, a tribute: 25 September 1932 to 30 October 2012

Health Minister visits Phoenix BlendIt was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Jeanne Lill who passed away on 30th October. Jeanne joined the Board of Vibrance in May 1994, serving for over 18 years, and was always a strong voice around the Board table ensuring that we were considering the wishes and needs of our service users in all the decisions we made. She was extremely proud that we were close to appointing service users to join our Board and it is very sad that she will not be able to sit alongside them.

Many of you will also know her from her role as the Chair of our Quality Assurance Committee which included many service user members.

Jeanne was totally committed to Vibrance and our values and was a very familiar face around our services and at all Vibrance events.

She was also enormously influential in the development of learning disability services in Redbridge being involved in Argyle Rd being established as well as Blueberry Close where her son Michael lives

Jeanne remained to the end a passionate advocate for parents and carers and many parent carers in the borough have reason to be grateful to her.

Jeanne was irreplaceable and will be sadly missed.
