Health Minister visits Phoenix Blend

Health Minister visits Phoenix BlendOn 10th December Norman Lamb, Minister of State for Care and Support came to visit Phoenix Blend as a part of his preparation for the launch of the Government’s report into the Winterbourne View scandal highlighted in a BBC Panorama documentary last year.

The Minister spent over half and hour talking with the Phoenix Group about their journey from the run down William Brinson Day Centre in Bow to the Phoenix Blend Community Hub in the heart of Spitalfields. The service users showed Mr Lamb the map laying out their lives and personal journeys in Tower Hamlets and told him about the many and varied activities they are involved in locally.
