On Wednesday March 5th 2014 money is being raised for local disability charity, Vibrance by volunteers who will endure a 2 hour indoor cycling challenge at Stock Brook Country Club, Billericay.

Thirty volunteers are gearing up for a sponsored cycling challenge in Billericay

Hosted by Stock Brook Country Club, they will pedal away to the rhythm of power music covering a combined distance of 1,200 miles- the distance between the UK and Iceland.

Vibrance, a leading social care provider in Essex and the south east, which support people with disabilities, have organised an RPMathon (Les Mills in-door cycling training programme) to raise money. The event has been organised by qualified Fitness Instructors Shani Reid and Russell Briant.

Shani, who is also the New Business and Fundraising Manager at the registered Ilford-based charity Vibrance, said: “Members at Stockbrook love the RPM programme, what better way to raise money for a fantastic cause, and to train at the same time? Between us we anticipate burning 36,000 calories during the evening.

"Cycling workouts have become hugely popular in the last couple of years, possibly since the success of Team GB cycling in the Olympics. We have had no shortage of friends who want to take part.

"Thank you to Stock Brook Country Club for hosting our cycle challenge, Russell for his help and support instructing the RPM session and Lime marketing for donating T-shirts for all the cyclists to wear on the day. Donations are currently under way for the RPMathon and anyone who would like to show support is invited to donate at www.justgiving.com/Vibrance"

Vibrance, employs around 400 people and was named in The Sunday Times ‘100 Best Companies to work for’ in 2012. Last year the charity was awarded the Investors in People Silver award for the way it has transformed business performance through the support and motivation of its team.
