When it comes to community care and supported living, the combined breadth and depth of experience of our trustees is second to none. Here you'll find an overview of the specialisms and experience of the board that governs Vibrance, for you to get to know each member a little better.

Iain Sim - Chair

Iain has held a number of Senior Management positions with local authorities and was, until he recently retired, the Deputy Director of Planning for the London Borough of Croydon.

Adrian Hull - Treasurer

Adrian is a qualified accountant specialising in all aspects of audit & financial accounting for voluntary organisations and charities and also runs his own Management Consultancy.

Paul Allen

Paul has been Vibrance’s Chief Executive since 2008 and has been part of the Senior Management Team since 1997. In all Paul has 32 years of experience of working in social care including 8 years in Leytonstone House Hospital. Paul holds an MSc in Psychology (Learning Disability) gained in 1996.

Anne Lyons

Anne holds an MA at the Institute of Education on Rights in Education and is currently a full-time Head of Modern Languages in a comprehensive school in St. Albans. She has also been a Teacher Governor at two different schools. Earlier on in her career she worked as a Warden of a Homeless Project in Sheffield. Anne has existing close personal links with Vibrance; her mother Jeanne Lill, who died last year, was a Vibrance Trustee for nearly 20 years, and her brother, Michael, lives in one of our care homes in Woodford.

Michael Atkins

Michael lives in Chadwell Heath, uses our Redbridge Link service and is currently Chair of our Service User Committee.

Stuart Clachan

Stuart lives at Glendale in Clacton and currently sits on both our Quality Assurance Committee and Service User Committee.

Shaminder Ubhi

Shaminder has worked in the domestic violence sector for over 20 years; managing and developing domestic violence provision for Black and Minority Ethnic women, developing preventative initiatives with young people, and raising awareness with the community as a whole. As Director of Ashiana Network, she manages specialist services, including refuge provision that comprises of three safe houses, two specifically for women at risk of forced marriage, and a range of advice, advocacy and counselling services for women.

Simon Walton

Simon has over 20 years experience within the social housing sector, with the last 8 years at Director level. Simon brings his specialised knowledge around housing generally and operational efficiency. Simon is also qualified with the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Robert Jarvis

Following an Apprenticeship with BT Robert spent 10 years working at Kings College in London as an IT Engineer working with mainstream computers and then with London Underground at Baker Street Station overseeing the network at each of the 274 tube stations. He is currently a resident in a Vibrance Registered Care Home in Wanstead.

Shamshia Ali

Shamshia Ali is the Manager at Redbridge Carers Support Service and has vast voluntary sector and local authority experience including being the Director of a charity in Tower Hamlets (Jagonari, a Women’s Educational Resource Centre) and working in Redbridge Faith Forum.
